Here is a bowl of fruit with light that is supposedly coming through a stained glass window.

Jhong Dizon: after Darkness

This is a single natural source of light that is creating two moods simultaneously. There are two different colors, two levels of sharpness for the beams of light, and even two separate environments such as the clouds & sky vs the silhouettes of the plants and telephone poles.

 Ishrona: Lights from Heaven

This image is made of light shining through a multicolored material (stain glass window) that is being reflected off of the floor. The light source itself is most likely a hard & bright source in order to see the frame of the windows reflected on the floor, but the glass and surface of the floor diffuses the light a little to create soft pools of color that blend together are not as distinguishable.

 Refia: Light Graffiti

This image is an example of the popular growing trend known as 'Light Doodling' or 'Light Graffiti'. A single bright source is waved in front of a camera with a low exposure rate to capture the path of the light source.

Just a simple animated body rendering.

Here's another shot from the 2011 remake of Footloose. A few items were added to help emphasis the influence of music and dancing, such as the record on the side of the bed, CD player near the amp, a CD rack next to the desk, and to help make it more modern and realistic a cell phone on the bed.
